L'altra sera,mentre ero nella sala chat di questo sito, mi fu chiesto quando è possibile comunicare con l'equipaggio della ISS.L'amico Gianni I7PHH da Monopoli,come tutti saprete, è il maestro anche di questo argomento.Perciò con umiltà, mi avvio a parlarne un pochettino,nei limiti delle mie conoscenze, qui nell'area "satelliti", sui quali poi scriverò qualcosa come aggiornamento. Intanto, sul sito web, dell'italo-americano Alan De Carolis IZ6BYY o WW3WW, denominato ISSFANCLUB,troverete tutte le notizie inerenti la Stazione Spaziale,che gira intorno alla Terra, a circa 350-360 km di altezza ed a una velocità di 27.000 kmh circa.Altro sitoweb da tenere "sotto controllo" è DCARR, sul quale è possibile sapere,in tempo reale, quali sono i satelliti attivi e quindi ascoltati o meno, compresa la ISS.Serve ovviamente,per seguire il discorso, il software per il tracking o inseguimento satelliti,in poche parole per conoscere l'esatta posizione,in ogni istante, del satellite radioamatoriale (o anche meteorologici non geostazionari).Io uso Wxtrack e Orbitron in quanto, a mio avviso ,tra loro complementari.Ma ci sono anche tanti altri ottimi programmi che fanno la stessa funzione, ma che io non ho testato.
Restando a parlare, o meglio, a scrivere sulla ISS, saprete che da quando il nostro ing. astronauta Paolo Nespoli è a bordo della ISS (da dicembre 2010 e fino a maggio 2011),insieme ad altri 5 astronauti, dei quali una donna, sulla frequenza di 145.800 mhz +/- doppler (5-6 khz) è molto facile e frequente poterlo ascoltare durante gli "school contacts". Per sapere quando ci sono detti contatti sull'Europa e quindi con passaggi "udibili" sull'Italia, o si va su ISSFANCLUB che avvisa con anticipo,oppure ci si può iscrivere all'ARISS Europe ( Amateur Radio on ISS) e ricevere email direttamente ad ogni occasione.La prossima è questa:

ARISS SCHOOL CONTACT PLANNED WITH SCHOOL IN POLAND
An ARISS School Contact is planned for Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace Nr I im. Stanislawa Staszica, Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski, Poland.
The direct radio contact is scheduled on Tuesday January 18, 2011 at 12:03 UTC which is 13.03 CEWT.
The school is a Polish state secondary school, located in the south-eastern region of Poland. It is attended by about 540 students, aged 15-18 years. In addition to the main curriculum, the school offers a great variety of after classes optional activities, such as: sport, theatre, science, dance, first aid, astronomy and an amateur radio club.
The school policy has always been to stimulate scientific interests, both through school subjects, extracurricular activities and the participation in scientific competitions in the field of Geography, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. There are many educational projects, the biggest is "Mathematical and Natural Science as the Key to the Understanding of the World". This project includes additional classes in Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. Many of our students after graduation start their higher education in science and develop a professional career in academic or scientific research.
The ARISS contact will be conducted in English with astronaut Paolo Nespoli - IZ0JPA.
The downlink signals will be audible in Europe on 145.800 MHz FM.
The students will ask as many of the following questions as time allows:
1. Sylwia: How is it like to live without gravity?
2. Rafal: Have you ever experienced a solar storm?
3. Alicja: How often have you got a contact with your family?
4. Aneta: Which activity is the most difficult for you?
5. Konrad: How do you prepare your food?
6. Lukasz: What do you think about Space trips?
7. Paula: Is it true that from the Space station you can see the Great Wall of China and the glows of lights above the biggest cities at night?
8. Alicja: How do you manage with everyday life activities?
9. Aneta: How do you bear such an isolation from society?
10. Konrad: Is it comfortable to sleep on ISS?
11. Lukasz: Do you think that "another Earth" with conditions for human life exists?
12. Paula: What do the astronauts do in their leisure time and how much free time do they have?
13. Konrad: Do the sunrises disturb you from taking a nap or a sleep?
14. Lukasz: What is your favourite drink?
15. Paula: Can you take books or magazines with you?
16. Konrad: What do you have to do to get to the ISS?
17. Lukasz: What are you going to do when you come back on the Earth?
18. Paula: Does a lot of rubbish float in Space and is it dangerous for the astronauts?
19. Konrad: What interesting atmospheric phenomena can you observe from the universe?
20. Lukasz: What are the holidays of your dreams?
ARISS is an international educational outreach program partnering the participating space agencies, NASA, Russian Space Agency, ESA, CNES, JAXA, and CSA, with the AMSAT and IARU organizations from participating countries.
ARISS offers an opportunity for students to experience the excitement of Amateur Radio by talking directly with crewmembers onboard the International Space Station. Teachers, parents and communities see, first hand, how Amateur Radio and crewmembers on ISS can energize youngsters' interest in science, technology and learning.
