One week before starting, the adrenaline is high.
Everything is ready, now we booked the parking where we leave the car at Orly.
Wednesday, October 2 at 06.00, I2YSB, IK2CIO, IK2CKR, IK2DIA and IZ2XAF and 300Kg of material will depart by car from Mortara with destination Paris Orly Airport.
At the airport, in the late afternoon, we will join JA3USA, IK2HKT and IK2RZP who reach the airport by plane. We'll get to Mayotte in the early hours of Thursday morning, we hope to be on air in the early afternoon. We will have four stations active (including 6m). Propagation and noise permitting, there will also be a station SSB active all night with an eye to 80mt and 40mt, in addition to the CW station. As written in the official website, the RTTY mode will be activated on 20 meters band only. We will have an internet connection , unfortunately not in the bungalow where there are the radios. We brought a lot of material Wi Fi to try to create a good connection. According to various rankings, Mayotte is a most wanted in the U.S., particularly in areas 6/7/0. Also for JA the island is in the first 60 Most Wanted places. A prayer: those who have Mayotte Island already worked on some bands and confirmed avoid to work us on those bands (we do not give any gift to anyone who connects more than 15 times) thus leaving the opportunity for others to have the country on a new band.

Tutto è pronto, oggi abbiamo prenotato il parcheggio a Orly dove lasceremo la macchina.
Mercoledì 2 ottobre alle 06.00,I2YSB, IK2CIO, IK2CKR, IK2DIA e IZ2XAF e 300Kg. di materiale partiranno da Mortara in macchina destinazione Aeroporto di Parigi Orly.
All'aeroporto,nel tardo pomeriggio, ci uniremo a JA3USA,IK2HKT e IK2RZP che avranno raggiunto l'aeroporto in aereo. Arriveremo a Mayotte alle prime ore del mattino di giovedì, contiamo di essere in aria nel primo pomeriggio. Avremo quattro stazioni attive (compreso i 6mt). Se la propagazione e il noise lo permetteranno oltre ad una stazione in CW ci sarà anche una stazione in SSB attiva tutta la notte con un occhio di riguardo a 80mt e 40mt. Come scritto nella pagine in internet, in RTTY verrà attivata solo la banda dei 20mt. Ci hanno garantito internet purtroppo non nei bungalow dove ci sono le radio. Abbiamo portato parecchio materiale Wi Fi per cercare di creare una buona connessione. In base alle varie graduatorie Mayotte è molto ricercata negli USA , specialmente nelle zone 6/7/0, anche per i JA è nei primi 60 posti come Most Wanted. Una preghiera: chi ha già lavorato e confermato Mayotte su alcune bande eviti dei collegarci su quelle bande ( non diamo nessun regalo a chi ci collega più di 15 volte) lasciando così la possibilità ad altri di avere un paese su una nuova banda.
Se il " LOG ONLINE " sarà attivo, controllate in basso, scritto ROSSO/GIALLO l'ultimo orario di aggiornamento del LOG, in modo di evitare QSO doppi.
