Posto direttamente alla vostra attenzione, dal Newsgroup Glowbug una notizia assolutamente seria, con l'invito di farci sentire anche noi dall'Europa contro una decisione che dire insulsa è dir poco.

I would recommend to anyone who operates or would like to operate, especially in the "high frequency" spectrum of the amateur bands (160 thru 10 meters and 6/2 meter bands and lower UHF bands) protest against FCC RM-11769 petition to eliminate "exclusive" existing CW allocation from ALL the "exclusive" bands now in use.
The addition of other modes, especially digital modes or ANYTHING but extremely narrow bandwidth operation would not fit into "co-operative use" in the low end CW allocations of especially 160 thru 10 meter range where weak signal operations primarily take place. i.e.: the lower 25 khz of 80-10 meters.
If this passes, some of the oldest type of radio communication we now use for simple CW transmission will be eliminated from future amateur spectrum now in use. There is only 30 days to reply to this petition. If it is passed, the oldest type of amateur operation technique known will be eliminated from future operations eventually, whether we like it or not.
Please submit your opposition to RM-11769 as soon as possible.
